Venture out Trick or Treating

Yes, it’s very American, but it’s also quite fun! We’ve been taking our little ones trick or treating since they could walk and most of our neighbours are more than happy to participate. Just make sure you only visit homes with the lights on or with decorations out.

Decorate your own Trick or Treating Bag

If you are planning on going trick or treating, then get the kids excited by decorating bags beforehand. Pull out the glitter, the feathers, the felt and anything else around the house. Halloween stickers can also brighten up a brown paper bag.

Host a Halloween Bake Off

There are so many delicious Halloween inspired snacks to try. We love white chocolate Boonanas where you simply dip bananas into melted white chocolate and add choc chips as eyes. You can do this with strawberries as well.

Other things to bake?  Spider cake pops, pumpkin scones and Milo mummy balls.

Host a Halloween Haunted House

Invite some friends over for an evening of ghoulish delight. Bob for apples, put on the Monster Jams and make sure everyone comes in costume. You can plan games for the kiddies, like Pin the Wart on the Witch while the parents can relax with a few spooky beverages.

The big orange pumpkins are out in full force now. Grab a carving knife and set up an area outside where you and the kids can get dirty. Make sure you save the pumpkin seeds to roast and eat as a snack.
