The CaPTA Group Welcomes Three New Baby Koalas

The CaPTA Group experiences have reopened and now there is an extra reason to visit Rainforestation Nature Park! Rainforestation has welcomed three new, adorable Koala Joeys into the world.

The first joey to come was a female, the baby of parents Rocky and Willow. Willow is a rescued wild-born koala who arrived at the park a year ago. She had sustained injuries from a car collision, but is now enjoying life within the park. Katie’s Joey, a male, was the second to emerge. Following him came the third koala Joey, belonging to parents Marri and Sunny. Cue the ‘awe’s’…

The group is also running a competition to name these three little marsupials (click the link to enter). Running between the 19th June and the 7th of July, you have a chance to enter online to ‘name the joey’. After a two week period, several names will be selected. These names will then be published on social media for the public to vote on.

As well as the name being assigned to the koala, the ultimate winner gets a CaPTA Group Annual Pass. You also get a VIP experience at Rainforestation, which includes a meet and greet with the koala joey from inside the koala enclosure!

The annual pass provides you with ultimate fun for a whole year through unlimited admission to all of the four parks. They are Rainforestation Nature Park, Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas, Australian Butterfly Sanctuary and Cairns Zoom and Wildlife Done. It also includes:

  • 10% discount off photos, souvenirs and entry for accompanying guests.
  • 10% off Breakfast With The Birds or Lunch With The Lorikeets at Wildlife Habitat
  • 20% off ZOOM activities at Cairns Zoom and Wildlife Dome as well as Pamagirri Rainforest Walkabout at Rainforestation
  • $5.00 discount off World Famous BBQ Buffet Lunch at Rainforestation

Locals can stay up to date with the progress of each joey on Rainforestation’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
