Best Kid-Friendly Easter movies to watch
With the Easter long weekend coming up there is a good chance that you will be spending some time in front of the telly with the little ones. After all, what better way to spend a long weekend evening than cuddling on the couch, especially after a day of Easter scavenger hunts and chocolate egg overload?
Here are a few to consider for your Easter entertainment and enjoyment.
This has got to be the quintessential Easter movie to watch with the little ones. Follow E.B, the Easter Bunny’s son as he travels to Hollywood to try and become a rock star and meets a few human friends along the way.
Here Comes Peter Cottontail: The Movie (2006)
Peter Cottontail is a favourite in my household so we were stoked to uncover there was a movie starring Peter and his son, Junior. Like E.B, Junior is a bit of a trouble maker and his antics working for his dad are light and sweet.
Winnie the Pooh – Springtime with Roo (2004)
Fans of Pooh, Piglet, Roo and the rest of the Hundred Acre Woods gang will love this Easter-themed movie where Rabbit decides to cancel Easter. Can the rest of the animal gang convince Rabbit to take off his grumpy pants and bring their favourite Easter Bunny back?
The Dog Who Saved Easter (2014)
Follow the Bannisters as they head out on a family cruise and send their dog Zeus to doggy day care. Clearly these don’t go to plan and Zeus is responsible to saving the daycare and Easter.
It’s the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown (1974)
It’s an Easter classic. While the graphics aren’t exactly awesome, the kids will still appreciate a good Charlie Brown movie. As the Peanuts gang get ready for Easter, share in the laughs as they decorate eggs, take shopping trips and listen to Linus babble on about the Easter Beagle.
