Townsville Academy of Performing Arts (TAPA) is a performing arts studio offering dance classes for students from age 2.
TAPA offers a diverse range of dance styles, including Classical Ballet, Tap, Modern/Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Irish, Highland, Acro Dance, Music & Movement (mummy and me 2 years+) and Song & Dance (from 3 years).
They provide quality training from experienced, qualified teachers who aim to inspire a love of dance and the arts. Have fun, be creative, while nurturing and respecting the uniqueness of each student and assisting them to reach their own personal potential. Their links with the professional dance world, local community and other organisations ensure that an experience at TAPA will be a rich and rewarding one.

2. Grasshopper Soccer

Non-competitive soccer program for girls and boys aged 2 -12 years.
Term 1 starts Friday 29th January running for 8 weeks in the school term.
Children learn basic skills through games. Their aim is to show kids sport can be fun and to just give it a go. Enrol anytime during the term with pro-rata fees and flexible attendance options available.
Weekends, After School, Weekdays and School Holiday Programs

3. Ready Steady Go Kids

Australia’s largest multi-sports and exercise program for pre-schoolers aged 2.5 – 7.
Their award winning program teaches children the fundamentals of 10 different sports: soccer, tennis, hockey, AFL, cricket, athletics, basketball, golf, rugby and t-ball.
All classes are run indoors in a safe, structured and fun environment! They also offer a free trial class to all new children!
They run in line with the school terms, with classes available on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Class times are dependent on the age group, with classes all being run in the morning and 1 afternoon a week.
COST: $171.00 per 10 week term (enrolment is by the term, they do not offer casual classes).

4. Love2Swim

With two great locations – Kirwan Aquatic Centre (open to public) and Allambie Lane; Rasmussen (indoor private pool)
Lessons start from 3 months of age and we specialise in 3 different levels in our babies’ program as it is designed around the babies’ land reflexes. Pre-school levels are based on ability and not age and starts from 2.5yrs to 4yrs.
Intermediate and Advanced swimming program gives students the ability to participate in their school carnivals and do really well as they have the tools and knowledge to compete with confidence. Their swim school also teaches adults, private lessons and they have a great Advanced Water Aerobics Program- (Based at Rasmussen)
New term starts 25th January – free assessments for anyone wanting to join during the week of 18th – 22nd January.
Times: Classes are held between 9.00am – 12.00pm.
Cost: $12 per lesson. $120 per term and the Intensive Program starts from $30 for 3 lessons

5. Paul Sadler Swimland

Since their beginning in 1972,
they have spent years refining and developing their unique program, and have had thousands of swimmers experience the Paul Sadler Swimland way of learning to swim.
They believe that is the small successes that provide the proudest moments for their swimmers and families and they have a strong focus on deep water survival.
The structured, certificate-based design of their program teaches swimmers the required skills from the beginner stage, right through to competitive swimming.
Regardless of where your child enters their program, their goal for all swimmers is to achieve their Swordy 1km Gold Medal and their Swimland Diploma.

Giggletoes have a variety of dance and movement classes available in the Townsville Region for all children aged from 3 months old.
Their program is designed to teach the fundamentals of dance through to the specialised styles of Hip Hop and Tap, in a safe, fun and encouraging environment. Taught by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher/Dance Teacher, all dance and movement classes are delivered utilising the Early Years Learning Framework, making their program suitable for Early Childhood Centre’s as well.
